Volunteer Decoys & Role Players Needed for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA)

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) needs FGCU students to volunteer for the TSA K9 Volunteer Decoy & Role Player Program. Their K9 teams train daily to detect, deter, and prevent threats to the traveling public and commercial aviation. Individuals who would like to assist their Explosive Detection Canine teams train can earn up to four hours of documented service while assisting their K9 teams by serving as decoys. You will be playing the role of passengers and carry 'training aids.'

 

Requirements: 

- Must be 18 years of age or older

- Must be willing to sign a non-disclosure agreement

- Should expect to be on-site between two to four hours depending on the training scheduled for that day.

- You can only volunteer for one date every 45 days. If you choose several dates, you will only be selected to serve on one of those dates.

There are two shifts available: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Please email the dates that you are available in order of preference. You will receive an email back with a confirmation of the date that was chosen for you along with instructions for that date. Please include your phone number.
