Enjoy an evening of literature co-hosted by FGCU Library and the Department of Language & Literature. This evening's featured author is Robert Vaughan who will read and answer questions. Open mic to follow.

The author of six books, Robert Vaughan's prose and poetry is found in over 650 print and online journals such as Necessary Fiction, Hobart, Smokelong Quarterly, NYTBR, Los Angeles Times Book Review, and BlazeVOX. He leads Bending Genres writing retreats at Synergia Ranch in Santa Fe, Mable Dodge in Taos, NM, and Cedar Valley in Wisconsin. He was runner-up for The Gertrude Stein Award for Fiction in 2013, and 2014. He was the Bath Flash Fiction Award Judge in October 2016. His short fiction has been chosen for Best Small Fictions, 2016 and 2019. His book, FUNHOUSE, was mentioned in the August 2017 New York Times Book Review. RIFT, a co-authored book with Kathy Fish, was mentioned in the Los Angeles Book Review. His plays have been performed Off-Broadway in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Milwaukee. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Bending Genres, an online journal.
