Description
During the 2024 scholarship cycle, Collaboratory awarded $1,257,470 and 174 scholarships to local high school students, undergraduate, graduate students and adult learners from Charlotte, Collier, Glades, Hendry and Lee counties.
Volunteers are able to review applications virtually through the platform Kaleidoscope after signing up and being properly trained. Volunteers will be tasked with 10-16 applications, and will receive 8-10 service-learning hours over the three-week period.
For trainings, they are available in person at Collaboratory, virtually live, and virtual recordings. Volunteers must reach out if they are unable to attend a training session after registering.

*Please note that by completing the registration, you are letting them know that they can assign you applications once the review process opens.
To be a reviewer, all you need is access to internet and to sign a confidentiality agreement to ensure the privacy of the applicants. Trainings are offered and include a tutorial on how to use their technology, as well as tips and tricks from other reviewers on how to best manage reviewing scholarship applications. Each reviewer gets assigned 10-16 applications and spends, on average, between 8 and 10 hours reviewing them over a three-week period (January 28, 2025 - February 19, 2025).
