Description

The Healthy Earth Organization is looking for FGCU students who may be interested in assisting with their Coral Reef & Fish Project at Guadalupe Center Monaghan Campus.

Event: Coral Reef & Fish Project

Date & Time: April 16th , 2025, 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Location: Guadalupe Center Monaghan Campus. 1170 Harvest Dr. Immokalee, FL 34142

 

During this activity, children will:

Create Coral Models: Craft their own coral structures using pipe cleaners, fostering creativity and fine motor skills.
Learn About Coral Ecosystems: Gain insights into the diversity of coral life and the challenges these ecosystems face.
Engage in a Class Project: Embark on a two-month journey to care for a classroom fish, learning about aquatic life and the responsibilities of pet care.

This hands-on activity will not only teach the children about marine biology but also emphasize the role they can play in protecting our planet’s precious resources.
