About
Haitian Student Organization, also known as HSO, was established in the fall of 2009 by Leslie Puzo, Adonarchel Danazard, Alvena Paul, Katie Guerrier, and Cherline Loussaint.
Our organization is founded and built on the love and excitement of our culture/nationality.
Our purpose is to bring awareness of our culture to FGCU and to provide a common ground to those of Haitian heritage on campus and others who are interested in Haitian culture. Our organization enjoys celebrating the beauty of our country and the perseverance of our people. Our mission is to educate the FGCU Community on Haitian Culture and to build a community for Haitian students on campus. We aim to cultivate a culture that encourages students of all backgrounds to embrace Haitian culture, promoting the success and professionalism of Haitian students, while allowing them to be themselves.
