FGCU Weightlifting Club
About
Founded in 2002, the FGCU Weightlifting Club was originally a powerlifting club, but has transitioned into doing both Powerlifting and Olympic lifting. We compete under the USA Powerlifting and now more recently, the USA Weightlifting association. Our team offers the opportunity for new and experienced lifters to compete on a team year-round at the state and national level in the raw and equipped division, as well as make life-long friends from different educational backgrounds. Additionally, the FGCU Weightlifting Club provides many service-learning opportunities through the organizations above! If you are interested in Olympic Lifting, Powerlifting, or any other kind of lifting style then send us a message or come out to one our practices and see for yourself. We practice every Monday through Friday at 7:30-9:30 p.m. at our gym, Untouchable fitness. Members MUST attend minimum 2 practices per week of 45minutes- 1 hour + Members MUST also attend at least ONE fundraiser(s) or community service event each semester to remain an active member. We hope to see you there!
FGCU Weightlifting Club is a Registered Student Organization led by the Sports Club Council.
