What is a Physician Assistant? 

Physician Assistants (PAs) are medical professionals who diagnose illness, develop and manage treatment plans, prescribe medications, and often serve as a patient’s principal healthcare professional. PAs are qualified to practice in a variety of settings and specialties. Ranked as number one, the Physician Assistant profession can be classified as the best career in healthcare!

Attend our beneficial meetings and become a member. The Pre-PA Association serves as a venue for students with similar career interests to come together and share advice in an environment that fosters cooperation, collaboration, and camaraderie. This organization aims to consolidate information and resources concerning Physician Assistant program admission requirements, application procedures, inform members about the history and purpose of the profession and to provide familiarity with the health care system.

Members can expect to receive informational resources and presentations from guest speakers about the profession, specific programs, and opportunities to obtain healthcare experience. Additional benefits include meeting workshops with valuable information (CASPA, GRE, Prerequisite courses etc.), PA panels, volunteering, and learning clinical skills (such as suturing).
