Student Organization of Nurse Anesthetists

The mission of the Student Organization of Nurse Anesthetists is to offer current and prospective students interested in the nurse anesthesia profession an opportunity to participate in the operation of a nurse anesthesia professional organization. We strive to raise community awareness for the profession of nurse anesthesia within the healthcare community of Southwest Florida by building professional relationships with local hospitals. SONA members mentor undergraduate students, attend state and national meetings for nurse anesthesia professional organizations, encourage evidence-based practice and research, and strive to provide patients with the highest quality anesthesia care.
