Resident Housing Association
About
The Resident Housing Association (RHA) is a student-run organization that represents the interests of residential student body. If you live on campus, you are a member of RHA. As a member, your voice matters. If you have concerns, questions, or any comments about residence life, RHA is there to make sure your voice is heard. RHA works closely with the residence life staff in defining issues and concerns of resident students.
Area Councils, a subdivision of the RHA, provide opportunities for students to get involved in a variety of leadership positions within the residence halls/neighborhoods. Area Councils work to enhance the overall residential experience of students through a wide array of programmatic efforts and represent residential concerns. There are four officer positions (President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer) and delegate positions. All positions are elected at the beginning of the fall semester and are held for the entire academic year.
RHA has a Board of Directors, which consists of a President, National Communications Coordinator, Director of Administration & Finance, and Director of Public Relations. Board of Directors elections occur at the end of each spring semester.
The Board of Governors consists of Vice President representatives from each Area Council. They meet with the Board of Directors weekly to discuss events, socials, and other funding initiatives.
While RHA is the residential student government and voice of the resident student body, it is just as well known for its events, most notably Casino Night and Spooktacular.
